Some of the Many Faces of One World Government

By Nancy C. Thomson

Everything happens in tandem. Past and present, national and international issues are all combined. Most of this can be traced to that pinnacle of international power, the United Nations.

The UN Charter was set up to institute a One World Government that would replace our Constitution.

Perhaps we should refresh our memories concerning the beginnings of the UN. Former President Roosevelt provided the impetus to create the United Nations (1) Although the US congress failed to ratify the League of Nations 26 years earlier it set up the basis for the UN to come after wards. On June 26, 1995, President Harry Truman and the US delegation watched as Tom Connally signed the UN. Charter in San Francisco (2) It turns out almost all of the US delegates to the UN conference were either members of the Council on foreign Relations (CFR) or communists. Some were members of both organizations.

US delegate Alger Hiss, a communist and member of the CFR, was elected the Secretary General of the San Francisco convention. The UN Charter was written by Hiss, his friend who was also a communist CFR member, and Russian official Andrei Gromyko (3) The Senate received their briefing on this UN document from the friend of Hiss. Only two congressmen voted against it. They were the only Senators who read the Charter themselves. Russia was granted special privileges in this Charter that resembled the Russian Manifesto.

A grand plan was developed to create enthusiasm and engage the people in promoting this new international organization. Pro-UN speakers fanned out across the country. The US Chamber of Commerce, Farm Bureau, American Legion, unions and local organizations were all brought into the UN orbit (4) World Affairs Councils were started in major cities as community UN organizations. They still provide this function today, and government schools have UN organizations. It was a complete snow job on the American people.

THE POLITICAL SIDE OF INTERNATIONALISM US/UN DEPARTMENTS OF EDUCATION

UNESCO has given us Goals 2000 and Outcome Based Education. Our history books are revised and American heroes eliminated. Students are taught to be "world citizens." Service oriented curricula as opposed to academic studies have been instituted. Community service is required in order to graduate form some high schools. Departments of labor and education have merged to educate students for low level service jobs. This is the School- to -Work (STW) program. Computer inventory in a California high school listed the following occupations, Auto Muffler Installer, Drywall Installer, Bus Driver, Cement Mason, Fender Repair, and Modeling (8).

UN ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES

*The 1992 UN Conference on Environment, "Earth Summit" was held in Rio. Western nations (who produce less pollution) must meet costly industry environmental requirements. Third world countries, the worst polluters are exempt from any regulations. Result, manufacturing moves out of the US to foreign polluting countries. Companies can continue to pollute if they "buy" pollution credits from industries that don't pollute. Banks are now selling "pollution credits." (9)

In 1996 a cancer -causing additive MTBE was added to gasoline to reduce smog. Water sources in California have found this dangerous additive has leaked into deep aquifers. (10) Even though it is to be phased out in the US, Canada exports this additive. According to NAFTA terms, Canada can sue if we don't accept their MTBE product.

TRADE AND BUSINESS AS REPRESENTED IN ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT

The United States is subject to the rule of NAFTA, GATT, and the WTO. We are competing with third world and Chinese slave wages. Meanwhile, these countries escape the high cost of environmental regulations. A NAFTA court supersedes US courts. Sixty-three categories of foreigners are allowed to take over professional jobs from Americans. (11) The US has a $130 billion dollar trade deficit (we used to have a surplus) and have now become the world's biggest debtor nation.

"ECONOMY IS AMONG THE FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANT OF REPUBLICAN VIRTUES, AND PUBLIC DEBT AS THE GREATEST OF THE DANGERS TO BE FEARED." Thomas Jefferson
MILITARY FACE OF THE NEW WORLD ORDER UN influence on America has been gradually increasing for over 50 years until people have come to accept this organization as a companion to our own Republic. James Madison said, "THERE ARE MORE INSTANCES OF THE ABRIDGMENT OF THE FREEDOM OF THE PEOPLE BY GRADUAL AND SILENT ENCROACHMENT OF THOSE IN POWER THAN BY VIOLENT AND SUDDEN USURPATION.

"THOSE WHO EXPECT TO REAP THE BLESSINGS OF FREEDOM MUST UNDERGO THE FATIGUE OF SUPPORTING IT." Thomas Paine
