I SEE THE OLD FLAGPOLE STILL STANDS.
HAVE YOUR TROOPS HOIST THE COLORS TO ITS PEAK, AND
LET NO ENEMY EVER HAUL THEM DOWN.
US General Douglas MacArthur
The United States was admired worldwide for its expertise in medicine, product development, military power, education, and a government that protected individual freedom.
Our present military has no generals such as Patton or MacArthur who put America first. Equal treatment for men and women is the modern battle cry as the sexes cohabit on ships and barracks.
Unfortunately the resulting pregnancies leave some units less than active ready. In his day Patton wasn’t stopped by unfit troops. Our government, in WWII ordered the General to stop his advance on Berlin so the Russians could get there first.
But siding with the enemy started long before this incident.
There are many aspects to be considered in our Republic’s decline into socialist internationalism, but this article will mainly focus on the military.
Recent Freedom of Information Act releases have cast a new light on US involvement in the two World Wars as well as Korea, Vietnam, The Persian Gulf and Serbian military actions. Those interested will take advantage of this information to learn a lesson in American history that many have tried to keep secret for years.
For internationalists wishing to alter a society, war is the ultimate weapon. It can change the country’s form of government, transform their economy and create social unrest. It is evident the series of wars forced upon this nation has done just that.
The sinking of the Lusitania caused the United States to join World War I. Many reliable sources now state that, although a British cruise ship, the Cunard liner was armed and carried ammunitions in her hold on that fateful day, May 17, 1915. It is against maritime law to have passenger ships used for military purposes. Germany issued warnings to the passengers about the New York to London trip on the Lusitania. President Wilson’s declaration of "neutrality" prior to our entrance in WW I was never taken seriously because of his pro-English stance. The Lusitania sank in a mere three hours with the loss of 1,198 lives after being hit by a German torpedo. Ammunition in the hold of the cruise ship caused the large explosion and quick demise of the liner.
.Because American passengers were aboard the Cunard ship, emotions ran strong. Wilson took advantage of this tragic event to have America enter the war on the side of the Allies. Thus the entry of the United States into WW1 was based soley on the sinking of the Lusitania.
World War 1 created the first of drastic changes in our country. Propaganda convinced people that we needed an international organization to "prevent more wars." President Wilson and his alter ego Colonel Edward Mandel House tried to set up The League of Nations, an international body to entangle the world’s countries in each other’s affairs. Although this plan failed it later gave birth to the United Nations. Both men were involved with the banking community, namely the Rockefellers, JP Morgan and Rothschilds. This friendship culminated in setting up the private banking cartel known as The Federal Reserve System. The seed for NAFTA and other trade arrangements came about at this time. Following, and as a result of WW I the "special Anglo-American relationship" was established which changed our foreign policy to what it is today.
Since our foreign policy is aimed at conflict as a way to further international goals, it isn’t surprising that WW I set us up for WW II
Books and the Freedom of Information Act present the machinations in foreign policy going on without the people’s knowledge. Our special arrangement with England led to the "back door" approach for getting us involved in another European war. President Roosevelt’s administration in Washington intentionally kept Admiral Kimmel and Lt. General Short, the commanders at Pearl Harbor in 1941, out of the intelligence loop. They were made scapegoats for the Pearl Harbor military disaster.
An agenda for changing the United States was again unfolding, internationalizing our economic base. American companies who professed loyalty to our country became international at this time, acknowledging no attachment to any nation. The same CEO’s who held positions on American boards of directors also held similar posts in foreign businesses including some in Germany even during WW II.
Bankers made millions by loaning money to both Axis and Allies alike. They also owned munitions and weapons factories that sold to the warring parties. Thus the influence and power of the certain banking houses began to direct foreign policy. They make war and then decide the terms of peace.
One of the goals, setting up the United Nations was finally possible. Two world wars, together with the promotion by mass media convinced enough US legislators to sign on to this international organization.
WW II promoters were the first to use the mix of newspapers and television as propaganda tools. Because television proved so successful in formulating opinion in England, the program was brought to the US where we were told to be enthusiastic about war and regard isolation (minding our own business) as sinful.
Glorification of "Rosie the riveter" leaving home to help the war effort has now translated into children being raised by others while mommy pursues her career. All occupations are now open to women including careers in the military, police and fire departments where body strength used to be a hiring factor. Women have entrance to formerly all male organizations, and feminists have declared a family doesn’t need to include the father. These social changes brought about by WW II closely follow the loss of individual rights as envisioned by the new international governance plan.
Since the United Nations started defining our role internationally we now go to war on their behalf. In Korea, our US troops lie under the UN flag in the cemetery there. Truman was responsible for the first US/UN undeclared war. The "Korean conflict" was called a "police action" thus by passing the constitutional requirement that a declaration of war must be made by congress.
Released documents have revealed there was no Gulf of Tonkin incident, the reason given for our all out involvement in the no/win war of Vietnam.
Haiti, Rwanda, Somalia, Bosnia, plus over one hundred other countries now have a mixture of our troops under NATO, or UN missions. Russia, China, Iraq, and Iran are either considered enemies or friends at different times according to decisions made by international business arrangements.
Why the Gulf War? We are told our military was needed to insure the supply of oil. However the US gets most off its oil from other sources. Our ambassador to Iraq, April Glaspie, had a conversation with leader Saddam Hussein on July 25, 1990, prior to the Kuwait invasion. It is recorded she told Hussein that the Bush administration had no interest in the border dispute with Kuwait. Glaspie had no contact with Saddam during her two years as ambassador to Iraq other than this July meeting. Before the start of hostilities, the US had friendly relations with Iraq and even supplied them with military weapons.
Hussein didn’t conduct his negotiations with our ambassador. He was working with international business interests connected to the Bush administration and this included Chase Manhattan Bank’s David Rockefeller. Much has been written about the undisclosed circumstances of this war, including Bush’s conferring with the UN before he addressed congress about the Iraqui situation. With a green light from the UN, US and British planes are still conducting daily bombing raids on Iraq.
Secretary –General Kofi Annan says his goal is to disarm Iraq, "and re-integrate its people into the international community." For the New World Order perhaps? Meanwhile the Kuwaiti royal family is accused of bribing US and other officials involved in the return to their throne. Our nation is entangled in yet another undeclared war that has created enemies even among so-called friends in that area.
In Bosnia our troops are being used to conduct searches for UN declared criminals. When caught the "criminals" will be taken to the International Criminal Tribunal based in The Hague. There is a move to try US officials as war criminals also. The 78 days of bombing civilian as well as military targets and the use of anti-personnel weapons declared illegal by international law have caused no end of controversy. However, might makes right and since the US has the most military capabilities, they don’t seem concerned.
This NATO/UN mission using force against a sovereign nation in a civil war receives no opposition from congress who doubled the funds that Clinton requested for this operation, $11.6 billion to start with. Of course we will also be paying to rebuild the areas we bombed. US companies are already trekking over to this devastated land in hopes of winning a lucrative contract. One hopeful bidder is former Secretary of Defense, George Shultz’s Bechtel Corporation.
It may take another 25 years for a Freedom of Information Act to explain our involvement in the Balkans. However, some explanations have surfaced. This area is a route for oil transportation, minerals abound, and, NATO military occupation affords the UN a protectorate. The advancement of the International Criminal Court was enhanced. Lastly, Serbian leader Milosevic refused to accept IMF loans that would have made his country subject to economic control by the global elite.
International corporations along with global
governing
bodies are dictating our foreign policy and the US military as well as
NATO and the UN act as enforcers. The liberal senate will just go on
giving
away our freedoms. Congress could rectify all with a stroke of the pen
by just defunding the whole international process.
