The Controversial International Trajectory
By Nancy Thomson,
We are being fed a continual diet of globalism by our government officials.
Has global anything given the U.S. an advantage?
What has global trade brought us? Billions of dollars in trade deficits, loss of jobs and industry. Our farmers who kept our country supplied with food are now faced with cheap imported products, some of which are found to be contaminated. The solution? Clinton wants to appoint a food czar in an attempt to separate the unfit from the edible imports.
Unnecessary food poisoning is bad enough, but globalizing a satellite base on U.S. soil in Long Beach is even more troubling.
The Sea Launch satellite project, located next to the Long Beach Naval Base, is a joint venture including Russia, Ukraine, Norway and Boeing with a 40% interest. Rules were changed by the Clinton administration to allow U.S. companies foreign partners thus making way for Russia’s entry into Sea Launch.
Russia has already compromised this "international enterprise" by employing the notorious intelligence organization, the GRU as part of their personnel structure. This management has close ties with Beijing. The GRU is the military equivalent of the KGB.
Most rockets are launched from land bases. The extraordinary thing about this design is the launching of large powerful rockets at sea.
A prototype for Sea Launch was the German V-2 rocket launched from an aircraft carrier. In 1991, Boeing began talks with Russia’s Energia rocket company. The concept of using platforms at sea was revisited and the idea of Sea Launch was born.
It was in the Cayman Islands, in April of 1995, that this venture was formed. The World Bank (our tax dollars) gave the Russians and Ukraine partners $100 million each to join in this adventure This assured the investors protection against the military and economic turmoil in both of these countries.
Bo Bejmuk, Sea Launch manager, said the flexibility and speed of launching in this manner will eliminate months or years of waiting to use government facilities.
Not everyone is thrilled at the prospect of the 30% larger payloads of this project as compared to land based operations. Representatives from 22 different nations are concerned about the environmental effects on their South Sea launching area near the equator. They worry that air pollution and water slicks will result from these operations
If the South Sea Islanders are complaining about the inadequacy of the Federal Aviation Administration’s conclusion that there are no environmental problems should we be any less concerned about the whole operation based here on our front doorstep?
July 13, the Sea Launch Commander ship sailed into the former Long Beach Naval Base. It is now visible from the freeway. A Boeing spokesman said this represents one of the first major defense conversion programs to come on line. No mention was made concerning cargo the ship was carrying The Odyssey, which is a 20 story high platform will complete the project . It is scheduled to arrive in a few weeks.
An official stated that Vice-President Al Gore is involved in this project and his staff ordered a temporary license hoping this would allow the Sea Launch to dock at the vacated Base in Long Beach.
However, federal prosecutors have entered the picture. Boeing has admitted to 350 violations of our export laws pertaining to Sea Launch. The Commander ship, with the acquiescence of Boeing, has brought Russian ICBM’s into a U.S. port without a license. An official stated "this is unprecedented".
The Zenit booster used in Sea Launch is a commercial version of Russia’s "Satan" ICBM that still threatens the U.S. mainland.
Previously this booster was used by Russia solely for sending military spy satellites into orbit. Boeing’s spokesman, Dolan, has affirmed the support of Gore who even traveled to the Ukraine for high -profile meetings with Ukrainian President Kuchma.
Gore’s staff were panicking before the planned trip to Ukraine. Boeing lawyers met with Customs Service inspectors in Los Angeles who were incensed about the Sea Launch Commander’s impending arrival carrying rockets in its hold.
Conducting business in the approved Washington D.C. manner, Boeing sent their lawyers to the White House urging the Vice-President to have Customs rescind their objections concerning the docking of Sea Launch..
Customs agents solicited help from the State Department’s Office of Defense Control who backed up the Los Angeles agent’s refusal to permit the arrival of Sea Launch at an American port.
After more pressure was applied by the White House, the State Department relented and issued a temporary license for the ship’s docking.
The plot thickens. Besides the worry about transference of Boeing technology to Russia and Ukraine, a Russian -born translator for Boeing who was working on Sea Launch, was thought to be a security risk and fired..
The White House and Boeing contend the Sea Launch project was an attempt to keep the Russians and Ukraine form selling their wares to Iran. Of course, Russia and China are both still making deals with this country. Recently the U.S. itself has been negotiating backstage with Iran in hopes of improving relations
China and Russia signed a pact in 1992 to share intelligence information. It is thought that Sea Launch is one of the main reasons China wants control of the Long Beach Naval Complex This satellite enterprise is located right next to the vacated Base. All the strategic information would be easily transferable from the Russians and then placed on COSCO ships and immediately sent back to Beijing.
U.S. and Israeli sources found that Iran is endeavoring to build solid fuel ICBM’s with Chinese and Russian help. These missiles will be capable of hitting the United States.
We should be concerned about the revolving door between government, multinational companies and large defense contractors. The companies doing business with the communist Chinese and Russians are the same organizations contracted to design our defense.
While Sea Launch is touted as a facility for commercial launches, the same rockets are used for military satellites. Many of the components involved are built by the military.
American citizens should be aware that one launch plan
calls for 4 networks of 300 satellites ringing the earth. These satellites
were developed by Teledesic whose biggest investor is Bill Gates.
This launching will create an internet in the sky and information will be available to corporations and the government. Data gathered on this intelligence operation can be purchased on the open market.
Those involved in the launching contend the satellites will not be used for spying on people.
At the same time they mention the tremendous benefits for law enforcement
Use of this surveillance system envisions possible use of population control, which could be used by the U.N. and WTO organizations as they increase their power on an international basis.
Throughout history, wars have been fought for possession of ports. The Chinese now control both the Pacific and Atlantic ports of the Panama Canal, and are being aided by the Clinton administration to gain control of the Long Beach port. This operation is expected to expand into the Los Angeles port facility as well. .
COSCO China’s military merchant marine is ruling the waves and extends its presence in every major port worldwide.
China also retains the largest land army in the world. Put all of this together with missile technology and a base of operations on U.S. soil run by our enemies
Boeing , along with other U.S.multinational corporations such as Hughes and Loral, perfected their technology with U.S. taxpayer’s money.
Trying to buy good behavior by giving away our own country in the process doesn’t work
Beijing and Russia have thousands of reasons to be optimistic. The gamble to buy off Bill Clinton has paid off handsomely.
