Some people are aware that our immigration policies and the mounting number of illegal aliens are costing US taxpayers billions for education, health care and incarceration. Back in 1992 (the cost would be much higher now) immigration expenditures for social and public programs on a national basis totaled $45 billion. This information was contained in a report by Donald Huddle, Rice University economics professor. He stated that high immigration levels are a drain on the US economy. While many ethnic groups illegally enter from our southern border, statistics show that the Mexicans far out number all the rest.
One of the difficulties in getting a handle on the number
of immigrants who are legally allowed entry into the US is the family reunification
program. The US government allows the immigrant to bring in his "family"
for reunification purposes. In turn these relatives bring in their relations
and on it goes. No wonder sometimes whole Mexican villages are transplanted
here in the US. All of this leads to uncontrolled immigration in addition
to the visa over stayers and illegals who pour over the border at a rate
of 5000 every night.
Huddle's report didn't even take into consideration the many avenues in related areas where legal and illegal immigration are siphoning off our tax dollars.
Let us enumerate the ways, not mentioned in the articles and reports that illegal aliens are able to tap into various systems. The scope of this immigration dilemma is weakening our resolve and making us an easy target for Globalist takeover. Our culture and basic concepts of law are being eroded by millions of people from foreign countries who adhere to the failed concepts of the countries they fled.. What is worse, the US is becoming a tower of Babel with no national identity. .
First item to be considered is education. The cost of educating a bi-lingual student is $2000 per student per year over and above the expense of instruction for those who speak English. Other ramifications which aren't addressed include the hiring of Spanish language teachers from Spain and Mexico who don't meet certification requirements in the US. Often English speaking children are funneled into these bi-lingual classes and their parents are not successful in having them removed.
School administrates try to assuage the English speaker's parents concern about a bi-lingual class by asserting that their children will be learning a NEW language. This is hardly an advantage as they witness their students fall further and further behind in academic subjects. The only alternative for many is to put their children in private schools where instruction is presented in English This cost is never taken into consideration nor is the expense of extra text books and constructing more schools to accommodate the influx of thousands from another country who wish to be educated here. Also included in the outlay (at least in California) should be the special trips, and summer school provisions for "minorities only", which is just another name for those who have English as a second language, or ESL students.
The Los Angeles School District has 60% non-English speakers in kindergarten. Their schools spend $400,000,000 on bi-lingual education. Funds come from national as well as state sources.
Add to these other educational charges affirmative action which allows illegal as well as legal immigrants to receive housing and other college reimbursements.
Health services is another area accumulating numerous financial problems about which many are unaware. In El Paso Texas, real estate taxes had to be raised in order to pay for all the pregnant women crossing the border to have their children born in the US. In San Benito Texas, INS authorities discovered the largest birth-certificate scam ever uncovered. A network of midwives help Mexican mothers make it appear that their enfants were delivered in the US when actually they were born in Mexico. The midwives are in possession of illicit Texas birth certificates. One such person, Maria Tafoya, serves as midwife and de facto immigration judge bestowing US citizenship at the moment of delivery, and no one asks any questions.
A baby born in the US becomes an instant citizen and entitles the family to all sorts of welfare benefits. FAIR (Federation for American Immigration Reform) lists 100 programs for which illegal aliens may apply.
The Los Angeles County hospital records show that 63% of the babies there are born to illegal alien mothers. Some medical facilities in San Diego are in dire straits because illegal aliens have left them with so many unpaid bills.
Crime and the subsequent incarceration plague many south western states as well as the big cities. In New Mexico, Mexican gangs stop trains by dissembling switches or tripping emergency brakes. They steal the goods and then haul the loot beyond the reach of authorities. Manufacturers and retailers have to raise prices on their products to make up for stolen merchandize.
At a crime detention center in Elizabeth New Jersey, inmates, many suspected of being illegals, rioted and destroyed the holding facilities. Twenty percent of persons arrested for criminal activity in Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, New York and Houston were illegals. Running a jail in Los Angeles is becoming more global as inmates demand "cultural Food." Woe be to the inmate who isn't a "minority" and is thrown in with all who are.
Of course jails are overcrowded and taxpayers are continually requested to vote for bonds allowing construction or the enlarging of present buildings. Schools and prisons are running out of space for the same reasons. Twenty-five dollar an hour court interpreters needed for non-English speaking illegals on trial constitutes another burden charged to tax payers.
One of the consequences of mass immigration from one foreign
country has resulted in the polarization of people into advocacy groups
representing the laws and culture they came from. Early groups of European
immigrants established their own areas but most had the same cultural concepts
of liberty, law, education, business, and health standards which became
the "American culture." Later most new-comers from non-European countries
(who immigrated in measured numbers under inspection as defined by law)
assumed the same criterion as the basis for membership in the country envied
throughout the world. Sharing an almost totally undefended border with
Mexico, the US has become an escape route for the overpopulated and unemployed
in this third world country. Advocate groups proliferate , MALDEF, LA RAZA,
MeCHA, LOS AMIGOS, LULAC, etc claiming to represent the large Hispanic
constituency. Lawyers from MALDEF appear at government meetings and challenge
any laws that are "insensitive " to Hispanic culture. This has the effect
of intimidation because law suits are feared by city and county governments
who don't budget for these altercations. To my knowledge, no survey or
reports has been made concerning the alteration or disregard of US local
and national laws due to pressure from these unelected "spokespeople" representing
anti-US groups.
The principals of accommodation---they come, we accommodate. Mexicans or any other insurgents coming here by evading our Border Patrol, have little understanding of our housing laws.
Too many people using bathrooms, kitchens, and bedrooms. Fort Worth Texas is inundated with single family houses being occupied by 25, 40 or 70 people. A landlord will rent to one family and find out they have invited 10 or 12 relatives to move in with them.
California has the same housing problem. Code enforcement found families living in garages, 20 or 30 to a one bedroom apartment, and one person was living in a closet. Cities have been prevented from enforcing housing codes and everyone suffers. Disease results from overcrowding and poor sanitary conditions. Schools in Orange County California have had their whole teaching and student body screened for TB (a disease once eradicated in the US) Restaurant workers are not required to have health credentials in Orange County California and many of the "new arrivals" find work in food service. According to a Los Angeles Times article, 5/4/98, "states with large immigrant populations tend to have a higher TB rate. Nationwide about one third of the cases are people born abroad." Tuberculosis rates are high in Mexico and Vietnam.
Crowded conditions soon lead to slums and housing unfit to live in. Sewers back up because they are unable to carry the added load. No problem. In steps the local and federal government to provide redevelopment or rehabilitation of the apartments or dilapidated housing areas. Taxpayers are forced to pay for rehabilitated housing caused by the crowded conditions of people who are here illegally.
Food vendors have invaded many neighborhoods in California. Although registration is required and restrictions issued regarding working hours, regulations are hard to enforce. Some vendors appear at all hours and are suspected of selling drugs along with the fruit. The excuse is cultural. Vendors with their carts can be seen along the Mexican-American now "non-existent border" selling to people just waiting to illegally cross that thin line at night.
Along comes the Clinton program "Citizenship USA." Just in time to register for the elections, Al Gore and his reinvent America told the INS to speed up the new citizenship process. It was speeded up so fast in Los Angeles (home to more Mexicans than anywhere else save Mexico itself) that 6000 criminals were granted citizenship because there was no time for FBI background checks.
Due to a backlog of those wanting to become citizens, several years ago the INS allowed "community groups" to conduct citizenship classes. This resulted in pro-illegal immigrant organizations signing up for this privilege. Problems including non-citizen voting and abuse of funds have caused the INS to rethink their outreach citizenship projects. Ordinary citizens of all ethnic backgrounds are upset en masse about the government's failure to protect us from invasion and its subsequent draining of taxpayer's hard earned money.
This problem is nationwide and in case you haven't encountered it you must have your eyes closed, live in complete denial or seclusion.
Back up your police and Border authorities when they try to enforce our laws. Don't let your congressional representative answer your immigration complaints with,"but WE ARE ALL IMMIGRANTS!" People who are born in a country are not immigrants. Since almost the whole third world wants to immigrate to the US ask your representative how many he would like to finance. Let him count the ways he will take care of them.
